☀ Effortless glowing skin for the summer ☀

As we dive into the heart of summer, it can be confusing to navigate the myriad of skincare products available. If you know me, you'll know that I believe in simplicity when it comes to skincare. Here, I'm going to share some easy steps for your summer skincare routine that can lead to glowing skin all through August.

Let's begin with the evening routine. If you wear makeup, especially oil-based ones, starting with an oil cleanser is a good idea. Follow this up with a gentle foam cleanser. For those with slightly oilier and thicker skin, incorporating a gentle exfoliating face wash can work wonders. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water and finish with a splash of cold water to ensure all product residue is removed from the skin. This step is crucial.

 

Circadia - Vitamin Veil Cleanser

For extra refreshment, apply a toner. This is optional, but you could also use retinol and serum. If needed, add a light moisturizer or cream and a touch of lip butter.

 

I. Pekar - Retinol A Dusk (Nighttime)

Mornings can be a bit trickier. Contrary to popular belief, you don't necessarily need to use a face cleanser in the morning if you want to maintain your skin's natural hydration. Instead, use a refreshing toner and a light serum, perhaps something containing Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, or B Vitamins. Niacinamide is also a good option. If you're going to stay indoors, there's no need for sunblock. But if you're heading outside, be sure to apply SPF 30.

If you prefer wearing makeup, opt for something light to let your skin breathe and prevent pore-clogging buildups. My current favorite is Hourglass — it's lightweight, provides decent coverage, and leaves your skin looking healthy.
