If you’ve been following my blog, you know I always love to share what I hear in the treatment room and lately, my clients have been saying the same thing:

Sound familiar? Don’t worry you’re not alone. The truth is: summer skin needs different care. But with a few easy adjustments and a little help from nature your skin can stay happy, healthy, and glowing all July long. 🌿
🍉 What’s Going On With Your Skin in July?
Between sunscreen, sweat, heat, and more time outdoors, your skin is:
- Producing more oil
- Losing hydration from AC or sun exposure
- Getting clogged from SPF, pollution, and sweat buildup
That’s why you might feel both dry and greasy and why breakouts, redness, or even heat rashes can pop up. So let’s rebalance. Here’s how I do it personally and what I recommend to all my clients this month.💚
Glow From the Inside: Nutrition & Supplement Tips 🥒
Hydrate Deliciously
- Start your day with green juice. I personally love the blends from Juice Press, specifically their Clean Green Protein Smoothie.
- Eat a fresh green salad every day with cucumber, spinach, arugula, and herbs.
- Make a pitcher of lemon, mint, and cucumber water. It's naturally anti-inflammatory and super refreshing.

🌞 My Summer Supplement Staples
Beta-Carotene (June–August)
A must for me and my family! Beta-carotene helps the skin defend itself from the inside. It supports your natural glow, reduces UV sensitivity, and minimizes inflammation.
Science fact:
- Beta-carotene converts into Vitamin A in your body, which strengthens your skin barrier and protects it from sun-induced damage. It also enhances the golden tone of your skin naturally (without tanning beds!).
- Vitamin C – Eat berries or take a gentle supplement. It supports collagen, elasticity, and fights sun damage.
- CoQ10 – After age 35, your body produces less of this antioxidant, which helps keep skin firm, smooth, and elastic. I take it daily and love it for maintaining tighter, healthier skin especially on the body.

🧪 Science Fact:
CoQ10 (short for Coenzyme Q10) is a powerful antioxidant that your body naturally produces but after age 30, your levels start to decline.
It plays a critical role in:
- Energy production in your skin cells
- Collagen and elastin protection
- Fighting oxidative stress (which accelerates aging from UV, pollution, and stress)
In simple terms: it protects your skin from damage, improves firmness, and supports natural repair from the inside. I think of it as a little boost of youth and strength for both skin and body. I love it for maintaining tighter arms, legs, and tummy, especially during bikini season.
🧴 Smart Summer Skincare: My Personal Routine
🌙 1. Nighttime Double Cleansing (It’s a Must!)
Every night no matter how tired I am I double cleanse. Especially in the summer, this helps remove SPF, sweat, pollution, and makeup buildup.

💧2. Keep Hydration Light Layered

💬 Personal tip: I don’t love SPF + moisturizer in one product. Just like I don’t like shampoo mixed with conditioner they often don’t work well together. But if you find one you love, let me know!
